What is Flash Memory?
Flash memory is an electronic non-volatile storage that can be electrically erased and reprogrammed. There are two main types of flash memory, NOR flash and NAND flash. These memories are widely used for different products, from computers, digital devices, embedded systems to electronic devices.
What’s the Difference Between NAND Flash Memory and NOR Flash Memory?
Usually, the capacity of NAND flash is larger than NOR flash, and NOR flash has faster random read speed and suits to be used for code storage and execution. Besides, NOR flash also has higher reliability than NAND flash.
In measurement while drilling systems, there are serval types of flash memory products. LHM 128MB/256MB is a high-temperature and high reliability NOR universal memory operated by SPI serial interface. It can work in the harsh environment of -45℃-200℃ for a long time.
Nor Flash memory in MWD kit
As we all know, MWD kit offers a complete MWD solution to start and sustain operations at the well-site. NOR flash memory is the key component to record the data in MWD kit, it can provides wellbore position, drillbit information and directional data in downhole applications. LHM 128/256MB is a high-temperature and high reliability NOR universal memory operated by SPI serial interface. It can work in the harsh environment of -45~+210℃ for a long time.
